TechPath — Developer Learning Graph

Designed and built TechPath, an interactive application that generates custom skill-learning paths for developers. The system models skills as a directed acyclic graph (DAG) in Neo4j, traversing prerequisite relationships at arbitrary depths using multi-hop Cypher queries. Renders path data through a custom, physical force-directed D3.js visualization, and tracks completion progress in real-time.

Key Features
- Multi-hop variable-length Cypher query traversal in Neo4j to resolve deep prerequisite trees natively.
- Dynamic physics-based force-directed visualization of learning paths built using D3.js.
- Persistent real-time progress saved in Neo4j database using direct (User)-[:COMPLETED]->(Topic) relationships.
- Graph cycle detection intercepting and rejecting cyclical dependencies with multi-hop validation.
- Intelligent in-memory caching using node-cache with targeted invalidation keyed by anonymous user IDs.
- Robust API layer validation using Zod schemas and request tracing via UUID middleware.
